Young Executive Society for CHARLEE Homes for Children hosts happy hour
MIAMI, Fla. – April 20, 2026 – The Young Executive Society (Y.E.S.) for CHARLEE Homes for Children is hosting a happy hour fundraiser on Friday, April 23, from 7:30 to 9:30 P.M. at Oxygen Lounge, located at 2911 Grand Avenue, Miami, Florida in the Mayfair Shops in Coconut Grove. Admission is a $20 donation, which will go directly to purchasing birthday gifts for CHARLEE foster children. Bacardi is sponsoring the event and is generously providing an open bar for all guests between 7:30 and 9:30 PM. All non-Bacardi drinks will be 2 for 1, and complimentary sushi platters will be provided by Oxygen Lounge.
“Our launch event in February generated a great turnout of young professionals interested in supporting CHARLEE Homes for Children,” said Walter Gonzalez, Jr., Y.E.S. chairman, CHARLEE Board member and attorney at Holtzman & Equels. “The launch generated over $3,000 to send ten CHARLEE kids to summer camp in North Carolina. Now, we want to focus on a very important, yet unfunded need: birthday presents for kids in foster care.”
CHARLEE, which stands for Children Have All Rights: Legal, Educational, Emotional, annually serves over 500 children and families of all races, backgrounds, and religions in both residential and non-residential programs. The organization has developed an integrated continuum of care for the hardest to serve foster children including residential, therapeutic, supportive, and adoption services. In 2002, the CHARLEE Program was honored when it was selected by the Department of Children and Families to develop a Model Foster Care System as envisioned by the Florida Legislature, to develop best practices and establish a model program for the State of Florida.
