Young Executive Society for CHARLEE Homes for Children hosts first official fundraising event
MIAMI, Fla. – February 16, 2026 – The Young Executive Society (Y.E.S.) for CHARLEE Homes for Children will celebrate its community debut by hosting its first official fundraising event on Thursday, February 19, from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Big Fish 2000 Restaurant, located on the Miami River.
“Y.E.S. was developed to generate awareness within our community’s young professionals,” said Walter Gonzalez, Jr., Y.E.S. chairman, CHARLEE Board member and attorney at Holtzman & Equals. “It’s great to see how eager all of the group members are to move forward. We have a great combination of individuals who will achieve great things for the children of CHARLEE.”
All proceeds from this event will be used specifically to send CHARLEE foster children to summer camp in North Carolina.
“This fundraiser is the first in a series that will lead to a grand event at the end of the year,” said Mari Molina, CHARLEE Director of Development. “We are anticipating a crowd of more than 150 people on Thursday and I’m thrilled that we’ll be able send more children to camp than we had expected.”
CHARLEE, which stands for Children Have All Rights: Legal, Educational, Emotional, annually serves over 500 children and families of all races, backgrounds, and religions in both residential and non-residential programs. The organization has developed an integrated continuum of care for the hardest to serve foster children including residential, therapeutic, supportive, and adoption services. In 2002, the CHARLEE Program was honored when it was selected by the Department of Children and Families to develop a Model Foster Care System as envisioned by the Florida Legislature, to develop best practices and establish a model program for the State of Florida.
