CHARLEE of Dade
County, Inc. a.k.a. CHARLEE Homes for Children receives more than $3 Million
annually from the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families,
District Eleven. The bulk of this funding supports three major programs:
Five family
group homes and one pre-independent living
apartment,
The
Gladstone Center for Girls,
and our Supported
Foster Care Program.
Please see
our "What we do" page for more information. Resources
We also receive
just over $1 Million each year from Medicaid for treatment services provided
to the foster children.
The rest of
our budget, comes from private donors: community minded corporations,
large philanthropic foundations, smaller family foundations, and generous
individuals. Without this support, CHARLEE would be unable to provide
the quality of care that has become synonymous with CHARLEE.
