Buffalo Cove Outdoor Education Center

The Buffalo Cove Outdoor Education Center at Hector Hollow is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, just 12 miles south of Blowing Rock. Tucked away in a secluded, 200 acre valley, it was created as a therapeutic wilderness camp through the generous donation of Robert and Nancy Hector. Each summer, CHARLEE kids experience quality outdoor education at the camp, while experiencing the outdoors and a strong therapeutic environment. They learn primitive living skills, woodworking, stream ecology, rock climbing, and many other learning activities.

In addition to summer camps, Buffalo Cove designs and runs custom programs for all types of organizations throughout the year. Our goal is to have these programs fund our camps for foster children in the summer. For more information regarding these programs, please visit our Buffalo Cove website at www.buffalocove.com.

If you would like to sponsor a foster child to attend summer camp this year, please complete our online donation form and, under "Type of Donation" check the box that says "Extra-curricular activities or summer camp."
