 CHARLEE was originally created by a number of concerned citizens in our community. They established a solid foundation of support that has enabled us to grow and develop in response to the needs of the community. Our partners include: individuals, foundations, corporations, Resources, and other loyal government supporters. In 1999 we were very fortunate to receive a call from Celebrity and Child Advocate Rosie O’Donnell. She has been involved with CHARLEE ever since. She has been one of our greatest advocates and has helped make CHARLEE a household name in our community and across the country. Rosie has brought an awareness to the corporate community that these children are our community’s children and their obligation as such. Along with Rosie, we have countless CHARLEE’s Angels in the community, always supporting CHARLEE in so many ways. This is why we are able to do what we do so well. The bulk of this funding supports three major programs:
The rest of our budget, comes from private donors, including community minded corporations, large philanthropic foundations, smaller family foundations, and generous individuals. Without this support, we would be unable to provide the quality of care that has become synonymous with CHARLEE. |
