Message from the CEO Dear Friends, The last four years at CHARLEE have been some of the most rewarding of my life. To have been given the opportunity to become a part of an agency like CHARLEE was a true gift. The CHARLEE family is an incredible network of people who sacrifice their own needs to help the community’s most vulnerable children. CHARLEE could not be where it is today without the ongoing support of our generous community and for this I thank everyone who has ever given us their time, donations, and more importantly, their love. Recently Secretary Bob Butterworth offered me a great opportunity to help restructure and reinvigorate the children’s legal services at the Department of Children and Families. I am very excited about the opportunity to return to the legal field and use my combined experience at the State Attorneys Office and CHARLEE to make a difference in the lives of children throughout the state. CHARLEE Board Member Nancy Hector has been a crucial supportive force behind CHARLEE’s growth and has agreed to be Interim CEO as the Board engages a search firm to identify a permanent CEO. August 30th will be my final day at CHARLEE and my new email address at the Department of Children and Families is [email protected].
