 The CHARLEE Program provides adoption services for all children who have had their parental rights terminated and are free and clear for adoption. These children may reside in any of our facilities or programs: Family Care Group Homes, Independent Living Program, Gladstone Center for Girls and the Supported Foster Care Program and the Resources.

CHARLEE’s Adoption Unit grew out of the tremendous need for permanency for our children. It is a natural outgrowth of our supported foster care network. New federal and state laws now mandate that we expand our foster parent recruitment considerations to include resource or pre-adoptive homes. These parents accept the possibility of not only being a temporary foster home, but also simultaneously being available as a potential permanent home for a child.
